Boycott Watch releases a report: The Presbyterian War on Israel

Summary: Boycott Watch is once again at the forefront of reporting the Arab boycott of Israel

At the end of their biennial national General Assembly in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, held June 30 through July 7, 2012, the Commissioners of the Presbyterian Church (USA) overruled a vote by the membership and enacted the most far-reaching boycott of Israel of any US organization.

Boycott Watch was actively informing the church membership of the downfalls of boycotting Israel, and wrote an open letter to the Presbyterian Church (USA) which is posted on the Boycott Watch website. We believe our efforts help the plenary vote down the resolution. Unfortunately, the commissioners did not listen to their members, and the next day they overruled the vote on the convention floor.

Fred Taub, author Boycotting Peace and the President of Boycott Watch has issued a report detailing the Israel-related overtures and communications to church members explaining how boycotting Israel is anti-peace, as well as the legal repercussions for engaging in the illegal foreign sanctioned boycott.

The Report, The Presbyterian War on Israel examines the overtures presented to the Presbyterian Church (USA) concerning Israel, the vote rejecting boycotting Israel, and the actions of the commissioners overriding the vote of their convention delegates in spite of what their members demanded of their leadership.
